First Aid Course


INTRODUCTION

The duty of an employer under the First Aid at Work Regulations are that that they shall provide, or ensure there are provided, such equipment and facilities as are adequate and appropriate in the circumstances for enabling first aid to be rendered to their employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

 

The course is in accordance with Guidance 3 of Regulation 3 (60) of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

v      First Aid and the First Aider’s responsibilities

 

 

v      Asphyxia and Emergency Resuscitation (New Procedures).

 

v      Wounds and their treatment, Dressings and bandages.

 

v      Recovery position, Examination of the unconscious casualty.

 

v      Causes of unconsciousness.

 

 

v      Thermal injuries, Fractures, Eye injuries.

 

v      Duties of the Fist Aider, Completion of Records, First Aid Kits.

The programme is designed to be delivered in 6 hours and can be tailored to your requirements covering potential specific injuries, illness and/or diseases relating to your own environment.
